God is shaping a people who are totally committed to Him, willing to walk by faith, even when they have more questions than answers. Sometimes life can be uncertain and it appears God is nowhere to be found. We may not feel we have the strength to go forward. Even in those times we can and should trust Him completely. Such is the story of Gideon. Joshua was a replacement leader. He took over from a most powerful leader named Moses. He was to lead a people who were tired, frustrated and who had been unsuccessful for 40 years. He needed courage to follow God's plan. Life is full of discouragement and we can learn from Joshua how he handled these difficult days. Children aren't the only ones who pout. Some adults have a the same tendency. As we look at the story of King Ahaba's pouting problem we see that pouting can be a major problem and lead to bigger problems. If we can learn better ways to handle disappointment we can build better relationships with others.
