Our pre-school ministry needs the following: baby-swings, pack-n-plays, cd players, bouncy seats, and toys for the little ones (1-2 year olds) and for the bigger kids (3-4 year olds). If you can make a donation, contact Donna Pittman, our pre-school ministry director, by Clicking Here. See you Sunday. Chad and Ron P.S. We are also in need of any pictures you may have of GCC events, worship services, etc. for our webpage and some new developments in the works. Send pics by Clicking Here. Thu, 16 February 2006 ![]() Graced Friends: Winters in Tennessee. Nothing like them. Snow on Friday. Sixty degrees on Tuesday. Coats on Sunday. Shorts on Thursday. Sounds a lot like relationships. Unpredictable! Gather with us this Sunday for a closer look into the struggles of parent-child relationships. On a more serious note, this week we grieve with Rick Hurst as he mourns the passing of his mother. Rick shared with me how his mother spent her final moments. Get this. As he sensed the time approaching, Rick picked up his guitar and sat at his mother's bedside. He sang and played her favorite hymns, all of which were about heaven, until she was at last in the presence of the Lord. We should all be so blessed as to have our children sit at our bedside and play background music as we journey to Jesus. Rick, we hurt with you. We rejoice with you. And we are all thankful to have you in our lives. See you Sunday. To leave or view comments about this post please click on "Comments" to your right. Thu, 9 February 2006 ![]() Graced Friends, We have only 4 more weeks until we begin our new Sunday line-up. The times will be 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM. The services will be identical so don't try to be "Super Christians" and attend both. Ron and I thank you for being so patient during this transition. We recognize that parking and finding seats on Sunday mornings are a little stressful. Just hang in there a few more weeks. Help is on the way (March 12 to be exact). Our new series, "We Will Dance," is going to be a blast. Last week kicked it off in fine fashion. Congratulations to Brandon and Sarah on their engagement. What if she had said, "no?" What a nightmare that would have been. This week, Ron is going to address the struggles of blending dreams, hopes, aspirations, talents, abilities, families, and homes, in a marriage relationship. Hope you'll be there. To leave or view comments about this post please click on "Comments" to your right. Category: Pastor's Blog -- posted at: 7:05 PM Comments[0] |
